How It Works
Step 1Consultation & Site Visit
Contact us to schedule a site visit. Our experts will assess your current electrical service and solar setup to gather the necessary details. We don’t just guess; we visit your location to ensure the system is intended for your specific home layout. You will receive a transparent quote with the final price clearly outlined - no hidden fees.
Step 2Design & Permitting
We handle the red tape. Our team prepares all technical documents required to comply with the City of Las Vegas codes and NV Energy regulations. We determine the optimal placement for your Backup Gateway or Backup Switch and submit all paperwork. You won't need to worry about the complex content of permit applications; we ensure every instance of compliance is met before we start.
Step 3 Installation (1 Day)
Based on our extensive experience, we complete most installations in a single day. You choose the installation date, and our in-house crew arrives on time. We protect your work area to prevent any property damage and maintain a clean job site. We wire the system to ensure your home can continue to run seamlessly during an outage.
Step 4 App Setup & Handoff
Once installed, we help you sync the Tesla App. You can select your backup preferences and see how your energy storage is influenced by your solar production. We walk you through the app's details so you know exactly how to manage your power.
Common Questions About Tesla Powerwall & Solar Storage
Are there financing options or incentives available?
Yes. You can lower your upfront costs through zero-interest loans, monthly payment plans, or leasing agreements. Additionally, the Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows you to claim 30% of the total project cost (equipment + labor) on your taxes. While NV Energy rebate programs fluctuate, we always design your system to maximize savings through their Time-of-Use (TOU) rate structures.
What happens during the installation day?
As certified Tesla installers, we handle the entire process.
Outage. You will experience a planned power outage of 4–8 hours while we perform the electrical tie-in to your main panel.
Internet. We require an active internet connection (wired Ethernet is preferred for stability) to commission the system.
Noise. Powerwalls have a cooling fan and pump that produce a soft hum (similar to a refrigerator); we recommend installing them in your garage or on a shaded exterior wall rather than near a bedroom.
How long until I can use my battery?
Once installation and commissioning are complete, we must wait for the final “Permission to Operate” (PTO) from NV Energy and the local building inspector. While the battery is physically installed in one day, the official activation for grid export depends on these city inspections.
Does the system require maintenance?
Powerwall is designed for minimal maintenance. You simply need to keep the unit clean and free of debris to ensure proper airflow. The system operates best between 32°F and 86°F (0°C to 30°C) but is rated for extreme temperatures (-4°F to 122°F), making it tough enough for Las Vegas summers. You can monitor everything – from energy flow to storm alerts – directly through the Tesla App.
